I just uploaded version 2.0 of CaRP/WP (an RSS plugin for WordPress) to my server. CaRP/WP works with CaRP to display RSS feed content, including Amazon.com affiliate feeds and YouTube videos, in the posts and pages of WordPress blogs. This version also enables CaRP/WP to work as a sidebar widget.

I may as well say it before someone else does -- I'm a greedy S.O.B.! And by "greedy", I mean that I'd like to pay off credit cards, family members and medical bills and start saving some money.
Why am I hearing Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick singing "I'm a Goofy Goober" in my head? Oh...

CaRP Evolution Gets Podcast and Sorting Plugins
by ZetaGecko | Atom/RSS, CaRP, Social Media
I've released two new plugins for CaRP Evolution this week: One for podcasts and one for sorting.
The podcast plugin uses the 1 Pixel Out Audio Player (which is a WordPress plugin, but can be used without WordPress) to display Flash-powered MP3 audio players for each podcast. You can see an example on the podcast...

Price Drop: Russell Brunson’s Affiliate Landmines
by ZetaGecko | Marketing
I'm a reseller of internet marketing millionaire Russell Brunson's Affiliate Landmine site. I've noticed that a lot of resellers make the first month cheap to lure a lot of people in, but then jack the price up to $19.95 beginning the second month.
I've decided that rather than getting a bunch of freebie seekers in...

l Liked Sarah Palin Until…
by ZetaGecko | Issues/Problems, Politics
The first time I saw Sarah Palin, she struck me as an intelligent, well-spoken person who had her head on straight. I'm not saying that I was ready to call myself a Republican again, but I was impressed. (BTW, I'm not calling myself a Democrat either, just so that you know).
So why on earth...

Google Chrome – First Impressions
by ZetaGecko | Internet
I'm writing this post using Google Chrome -- Google's new web browser that was just released today. After a little goofing around with it, here are my initial impressions.
1) It's fast -- running some JavaScripts side by side with Firefox, Chrome is noticeably faster.
2) Everything works as expected -- no weirdness or non-functional...

A few months ago, I subscribed to the blog of super affiliate and author of The Super Affiliate Handbook Rosalind Gardner's blog. This morning, I was pleasantly surprised to see a review of my RSS to HTML converter script, CaRP Evolution on it.
Thanks Rosalind, and while I'm at it, thanks Shawn Collins for letting...

Have you seen the ads lately for "reverse mortgages"? Have you wondered what they are? They sounded pretty suspicious to me, so I did a little searching.
At first glance, I thought I was seeing the reincarnation of the interest only loan as a "not even interest loan", but (while that is essentially what it...

I Won More Golds Than Michael Phelps … in “Olympic Baseball” With My 5 Year Old
by ZetaGecko | Personal
I just got done playing "Olympic Baseball" with my five year old. I hit the ball and he handed out medals.
If the ball (his little plastic ball, pitched by his little popup toy) hit the fence, I got a bronze. If it cleared the fence into the back yard, I got silver. And if...

During the last summer olympics, NBC seemed to think we'd be more interested in watching their biographical vignettes than the athletes' performances. It was the low point in a string of olympics that made me really wish they didn't have the exclusive U.S. broadcasting rights. And I really didn't like Bob Costas.
Based on this...
