I've done my first interview for radio. Randall Jeppesen from KSL newsradio 1160 in Salt Lake City dropped by a few minutes ago and we discussed how consumers and webmasters can use (and how some abuse) RSS, Photocasting, flickr, and more. As he was leaving, I asked when the piece would run, and he told me it would be edited down to a 35 second clip and run some time between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. They used to post the audio of their stories online, but apparently the website is in transition and that hasn't been done for a while. I guess that's one way to get me to listen to the radio!

The spot ran at about 4:40, and it was interesting to see which sound bites they pulled out of the interview. First, (as nearly as I can recall) "when I mention RSS to people, I usually just get a blank stare", and second, "when the other person turns on their computer, their copy of iPhoto automatically downloads the photos, and they're just there."
