Last year, my resolution was 1280 x 1024 on both of the 17" monitors connected to my Mac. I did pretty well on those--I don't feel the need for larger screens.  This year, my resolution is to replace the Mac and one of the monitors with a 17" iMac at 1440 x 900. I'll have a few less pixels, but it'll still be enough, and the speed difference between a 400 MHz G4 and a 2 GHz Core 2 Duo will more than compensate for any feelings of loss.
