Yesterday, I was thinking about replacing my CRT monitors with LCD monitors, so I went online and checked prices at a few places. Circuit City had a good deal on what looked (from the many positive reviews) like a good product--certainly for the price--so I made up my mind and headed over to pick two up. In the store, the posted price didn't include the price break that was shown online. When I asked about it, the store personnel looked it up online and told me that to get that price, I'd have to order online and then pick it up at the store. I used their internet koisk to go to the site to place the order, but that product was sold out online (though it was in stock at the store, and the website knew it). So the lower price wasn't available. I came home with no monitor. The website really needs to make it clear, especially when they're sold out, that in-store purchase prices may be different.

I just checked today, and the monitor is available online again. I'll think about it.
